Studies show that many kids brought up in the digital era have never written a handwritten letter nor do they know of any other way of communication other than through a mobile phone or computer. This raises questions about the impact of social media usage on human behavior. Can social media usage actually be harmful to us and our kids? We investigated this!
|
situation• Social media becoming inseparable from day-to-day social life.
• Social media usage by kids linked to various psychological disorders • Researchers want to make people aware of the impact of social media usage on human behavior, especially children. |
design• The behavioral team responsible for addressing this issue designed a classroom presentation making use of psychological principles and behavioral insights to create more awareness and generate behavioral change towards social media usage.
|
results• The research team was successful in creating awareness and behavioral change intentions within a 10 min presentation. The impact of the short presentation had lasting effects on people's awareness and behavior concerning social media usage.

testimonial"This presentation was by far one of the most effective campaigns I have come across in my life. I immediately decided to lower my daily social media usage and have recently imposed a social media free day at home with my kids! More people need to be aware of this!", Monica (38)
